The perfect mix of keynote speakers
We're excited to announce our keynote speakers for Australia's inaugural Scrum conference are Kenny Rubin and Martin Kearns. Highly experienced and respected, Kenny and Martin have a proven track record of giving thought-provoking and engaging presentations.
Kenny Rubin
Kenny was the first Managing Director of the worldwide Scrum Alliance, a non-profit organization focused on the successful adoption of Scrum. He is the author of the best-selling book, Essential Scrum: A Practical Guide to the Most Popular Agile Process. In addition to this book, Kenny is also the co-author of the 1995 book Succeeding with Objects: Decision Frameworks for Project Management. He received his B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Martin Kearns
Martin is the National Capability Lead for Agile services at SMS MT. An experienced technology professional, Martin has over 18 years of industry experience. Martin is leading the development of an enterprise Agile capability within SMS to support the business strategies of a diverse set of clients. He is a pioneer in the field of Scrum, being one of the first three Scrum Coaches to be certified in the world. Martin’s forte is in the coaching of individuals and organisations to improve their application of the Agile process and to build high performance teams. He has an infectious passion for Agile and is heavily involved with the community.
3 Great Presentation Streams!
Our 3 streams are uniquely based around Australia's love affair with 'Swimming', the glorious combination of water and the great outdoors. Featuring experienced and accomplished local speakers, these streams will educate, entertain and inspire you. Whether you're looking to dip your toe in the water or go deep diving, you're invited to come swimming with us at Scrum Australia 2013!
Stream 1 - Swimming in the Pool
If you are learning how to swim or wish to improve your swimming technique, the pool is the place to be. Similarly, the Scrum Australia ‘pool swim’ will have a focus on specific Scrum practices and enablers with speakers presenting various techniques to help you get started or improve your Scrum game.
Stream 2 - Between the Flags
For those who want to venture into more unpredictable territory, Scrum Australia’s ‘beach swim’ will focus on applying Scrum outside of the controlled pool environment with speakers presenting their real world Scrum experiences.
Stream 3 - Exploring the Open Water
This final stream is not for the feint-hearted but rather for those who wish to venture deep into the vast open water. Scrum Australia’s ‘open water swim’ is an exploratory space with speakers presenting deeper, more advanced topics.
Open Space
In the self-organising spirit of Scrum, our conference will have an Open Space event! Open Space is focused on discussion and conversation about the topics that people feel most passionate about. Open Spaces have been successfully conducted at many Scrum Alliance Global Gatherings from Atlanta to Barcelona with many participants relishing the flexible structure and opportunity to exchange ideas.
To ensure that we have the best possible Open Space event, Alan Cyment, a highly experienced Open Space facilitator is making the trip from Buenos Aires, Argentina to lead what promises to be a great experience you won't want to miss.
Scrum Coaches Clinic
We are lucky to have in attendance some of the most experienced and accomplished Scrum trainers and coaches in the world who are going to put on their Scrum doctor hats to help you with any of your specific Scrum related problems or questions. When else will you get the opportunity to get the advice from multiple globally accredited Scrum trainers and coaches?

3) Within 1 month of the event date no refunds will be issued however we can work with you to transfer your tickets to another attendee
